The New England Quilt Museum's current display is Amish Quilts. Most are from the 30s and 40s. Most are machine pieced and hand quilted. It was amazing to me the ability of the seamstresses to sew by hand (Quilt) the intricate patters across the quilts and have them so precise in stitch size and pattern size. We couldn't take any pictures of the museum quilts.
We did take a couple pictures in the gift shop. The picture below is about five feet tall. Note that the right end of the quilt comes "out" of the wall hanging as it has not been pinned to the clothes line yet.
As you can see here Vana has turned up the corner to reveal the back of the wall hanging and there is a smaller version (the original size) of the wall hanging.
