Spring Picnic on the Tanana River

A Beautiful day on the Tanana River. Joe is using the pole to check for thin spots in the ice.

Friends from Church have an annual picnic on the river when the weather turns good and the river Ice is still firm. They call this place the camp.

It was about 40 degrees but we still had a fire for cooking Hot Dogs and another for keeping the chili warm.

Patsy is enjoying lunch.

Well Stocked Picnic Table.

Warming two pots of chili. It was good.

Hot dogs Just the way you like 'em.

We had a great afternoon. Thanks Jackie and Cliff.
