Top of the Trail 42 Mile Steese

Saturday Patsy and I spent the day with Ed and Lois. We took the four-wheeler and had a picnic at the top of the trail. Later we had a cookout

Here is Ed & Lois's front yard. In the background you can see dead trees from the forest fire in 2004. The haze is from a lightning fire at 90 mile Steese.

We saw quite a few flowers. Here are some lupines and a scraggly spruce.

After we got back to the house we grilled moose/caribou burgers at the picnic shelter.

Yummmm Green Slime! Bet you kids remember that.
